where to begin, where to begin....
- i became a better speller [potentially....this theory may still need to be proven on a larger scale than me just realizing that the word "apricot" does not have a silent 'e' on the end and understanding the reason why it doesnt....its all about baby steps, right???]
- i met some pretty amazing women who love the Lord and have a huge love for the kids in their classrooms/schools/homes/lives who struggle in school
- usually i do not take to the "cheesy" Christian songs, but i must admit, i do love the song "Blessings" by Laura Story....its very weird for me really....
- i became more aware of phonemic awareness [being able to hear individual sounds in words]
- i still need to work on drawing 8's on a chalk board....its harder than it looks!
- experienced the rusticness of mk camp, near brno, czech republic.....its was gorgeous, but...well...rustic...
- i fell in love with another song that i normally wouldn't have..."the stand" by hillsong. its very unlike me. seriously, im not sure whats up with this.
- was reminded of the amazingness of the cross. and how silly of me that i would seek other things outside of God and His love and grace. jeepers.
- have a swollen and bruised knee thanks to a 15 year boy who shall remain nameless and claims that he didnt see me during one of the night games....i get that it was dark, collin, but i was wearing shorts and my legs pretty much glow in the dark and plus we weren't even playing tackle football....
- had a good conversation with one of the campers about pride and loving others and getting over ourselves cause who are we without Christ, anyway??
- learned that hot water bottles are the cure for everything
- ate some ham foam....whatever that is....
- learned that nate johnson will do anything for you if you look at him with puppy eyes for any length of time....[the only thing he wont do as of right now is pass on prescription pain killers...but he'll come around soon...i feel sure]
- and justin, i may not be able to run yet....but at least i can still get my arms above my head!
- i am still waiting on my visa and 100% support
- i am trusting that God knows what He's doing and that His plan is still perfect and good
- i am still working on getting rid of several idols in my life...who needs them anyway?
- i am believing that God's will is never wrong even though i think at times that it ought to look a little different than it currently does
- i am believing that i have things to offer because i have Christ in me and His love and grace is making me new.
- i dont have to lose hope because God is good and doesnt make mistakes.
I would have despaired unless i had believed that i would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living
ps. 27:13
